Events
Ladies' Bike Club organizes many happenings in Finland. During the year, at least these are organized:
- Motorcycle service courses
- Motorcycle safe riding courses
- "Formula Queen" race (carting cars) during winter
- Weekly rides locally on biggest city areas
- Riding season opening (a weekend somewhere in varying locations in Finland)
- Motocross day (or evening) in Vantaa
- Two national rallies during summer, other one more a meeting, other more riding-focused, in varying locations in Finland
- International WIMA Rally every summer somewhere in Europe
- Riding season closure happening somewhere in Finland (mostly in Tampere area)
- Visit to meet WIMA Estonia every autumn after riding season (October)
- Winter meetings in restaurants in biggest cities few times during the winter
Weekly rides
Weekly rides are traditionally rides of 50-150km, which have been pre-planned by one of our members and are ridden with a bunch of girls some afternoon. The speed and the length of the ride also depends on the experience of those attending and the weather conditions. Usually we end the ride in a cafe/ gas station somewhere chatting about bikes and everything else. Weekly rides have been organised in the biggest LBC-membership areas: Rovaniemi, Kemi, Oulu, Vaasa, Jyväskylä, Tampere, Kuopio, Kouvola, Lappeenranta and Helsinki.
Meetings in the winter time
When girls (most of us) get off our bikes, we meet few times during the winter time in a restaurant for good food, a bit of beer and lot of talk :). The meeting is held the first friday every month 19:00 (GMT+2) in Helsinki and Tampere. The location is restaurant Cantina West in Helsinki and restaurant Katupoika in Tampere. These winter time meetings are held also in other bigger cities (see the list in the previous paragraph).
